Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2: 10 Best Weapons, Ranked

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 finally unveiled itself to players on March 10th, and along with new outfits and battle pass, the latest season brings a new selection of weapons. There are over 15 different weapons in the game for everyone to obtain in order to fight against the other players on the new map, which now features a cyberpunk city named Mega City.
Some weapons fall lackluster when compared to others, especially the new ones like the Havoc Pump Shotgun. However, some returning weapons still stand strong in the battle royale game mode. Fans should still be on the watch as other weapons are expected to debut as the season progresses.
10 Maven Auto Shotgun
The Maven Auto Shotgun made its debut in Chapter 4, Season 1, the same season in which Gohan and Piccolo joined the game. The Maven Auto Shotgun was a favorite, as players could hold down the fire button to continue firing the shotgun rather than pressing it multiple times.
The shotgun is a fan favorite for players that like to continue placing damage on their enemies, rather than using pump shotguns in which players would need to be incredibly accurate to take out another player. So, even though it does less damage than other shotguns, its rate of fire is a force to be reckoned with.
9 Red Eye Assault Rifle
The Red Eye Assault Rifle was seen in Chapter 4, Season 1, as one of the most popular weapons for players to use in the battle royale game. This is because the weapon has a unique first-person point-of-view that allows players to aim and fire like in an FPS title.
Of course, players would need to be very accurate with their shots, as the Red Eye Assault Rifle was a little tricky to master in terms of accuracy. On successive shots, though, the weapon can quickly eliminate another player with its great damage.
8 Combat Shotgun
The Combat Shotgun is one of the most beloved shotguns in the entire collab-friendly game and its history. The gun has a long range and a good rate of fire. In the last season, players were only able to obtain the Combat Shotgun if they used the augment to obtain the gun along with the Combat Assault Rifle.
In Chapter 4 Season 2, though, players can find the Combat Shotgun lying around in any location in Fortnite, just waiting to be looted. The Combat Shotgun is great for players who tend to keep a little distance.
7 Twin Mag SMG
The Twin Mag SMG is a great weapon that utilizes attached magazines to reload faster on every other reload. More importantly, though, the SMG does some crazy DPS when the player is accurate with the gun.
The Twin Mag SMG, which was first available in Chapter 4 Season 1, is still available in Chapter 4 Season 2 anywhere around the map. Players who utilize the Twin Mag SMG in the battle royale mode will want to be up close to other players to effectively use this weapon, and it will quickly melt their health bars.
6 Heavy Sniper Rifle
The Heavy Sniper Rifle is one of the most infamous weapons in Fortnite for being powerful enough to instantly take out a player with a single shot. The weapon stresses enemies to be wary of their surroundings and ensure they don’t sit still in the open.
The Heavy Sniper Rifle usually has a single shot in its magazine, but players can get a certain augment that allows sniper rifles to withhold 2 shots. This weapon is great for players who like to play the recon in Fortnite and can hit their shots.
5 Heisted Blink Mag SMG
The Heisted Blink Mag SMG is a unique Exotic weapon that found its way into the battle royale game during Chapter 4 Season 1’s Heisted event. The Heisted Blink Mag SMG is essentially an Exotic version of the Twin Mag SMG.
When the player reloads the Heisted Blink Mag SMG, they will gain access to the Zero Point Dash power for a small amount of time. This allows them to double-tap the jump button to teleport a short distance. In battle, the Heisted Blink Mag SMG can save lives and confuse enemies with the Zero Point Dash.
4 Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle
The Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle is the newest auto rifle to set foot in Fortnite’s battle royale scene. This assault rifle instantly became a favorite, as its handling, magazine size, and damage well together incredibly.
The Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle has a large magazine that can be further increased with an augment, and with little recoil, the player can melt a player’s shield and health bar quickly with successful shots. Players can get the Mythic version of the weapon by defeating the Highcard boss in Fortnite.
3 Havoc Pump Shotgun
The Havoc Pump Shotgun showed up in Fortnite at the same time as the Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle, so it’s no wonder they share a comparable name. The Havoc Pump Shotgun makes other shotguns look weak in comparison with its incredible single-shot damage.
The Havoc Pump Shotgun does insane damage with a wide spread, so players will need to be up close to use the shotgun. The weapon also has a slow rate of fire and slow reload speed, but it’s all worth it because the Havoc Pump Shotgun can potentially take out another player with a single precision shot.
2 Kinetic Blade
The Kinetic Blade is the newest melee weapon to find itself on the Fortnite island, and even though melee weapons have a complicated relationship with fans, the Kinetic Blade has been pretty popular within the community.
Like any other loot, the Kinetic Blade can be found around the Fortnite map. The blade allows players to perform an anime-like dash-slice attack that is also good for gaining distance on the island. The shoot/fire button allows players to simply do a two-hit combo with the Kinetic Blade that will send opponents flying, which is great when facing the storm.
1 Overclocked Pulse Rifle
The Pulse Rifle in Fortnite is not new for players, but the Overclocked Pulse Rifle is a brand-new variant of the weapon that has famously taken the weaponry scene by storm upon its release in Chapter 4, Season 2.
Being dubbed “overpowered” by various players on the internet, the Overclocked Pulse Rifle is a mythic rifle that players get by claiming the capture point on the randomly-spawning Loot Island. The weapon has incredible damage, and players can even utilize a rapid-fire mechanic of the weapon by hip-firing the Overclocked Pulse Rifle.
